RoSPA 'First' as Health & Safety Training Videos Go On-line

RoSPA, in association with Einstein Network, is launching a new service, which allows its popular occupational health and safety training videos to be viewed on-line without the need to buy a tape.

RoSPA E-Videos is believed to be a first for the industry as it draws together programmes from some of the best-known production companies. Videos can be watched by staff at their own desks and have an interactive element, helping managers to check how well the messages have been understood.

The service is provided via the same learning platform the Einstein customers have enjoyed over the last eighteen months when using en-power for their CPD. Customers can buy a number of credits that can be used to watch any of the on-line videos available, offering maximum flexibility and choice.

Programmes cover: the office, the construction industry, driver safety, COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), personal protective equipment and manual handling.

The launch of RoSPA E-Videos will take place at 1pm at the Society's stand (Hall 9, D30) on the first day of Safety and Health Expo 2005 at the NEC, May 17.

Rebecca Fletcher, RoSPA Product Manager - Marketing, said: "This new service is believed to be the first of its type and is convenient, flexible and cost effective. It means each member of staff can watch a video on their own PC at work or home, at the time that is most suitable for them.

"The wide range of programmes allows organisations to select titles that meet the varying needs of their employees.

There is an interactive quiz to check how well the knowledge has been absorbed. A management tool allows supervisors to check that the employee has watched the selected programme and see what score has been achieved."

Jeff Lenton, Managing Director of Einstein said: "The RoSPA E-Video service brings the delivery of health & safety content right up to date, and allows organisations from all market sectors to get greater control over their heath & safety obligations.

We are pleased that RoSPA chose the power and flexibility of the en-power platform to deliver this essential service."

Existing Einstein subscribers can access the RoSPA E-Video service from within their existing 'portal', simply call 0207 693 7777. Alternatively a free seven day trial of the service is available at www.en-power.co.uk/rospa or by calling 0870 7772227.
